my tongue on the turns

the credit for this photo does not belong to heather, who took it, but instead belongs to me. it was my camera, and beyond that, i’m the star. now that that’s squared away.

i was getting over a cold this weekend. not gone, but better. i took thursday off work, friday and drudged through. i bailed on my plans with jenni friday night, because i wasn’t feeling up to it. we were gonna go see a one-night-only movie that we didn’t get tickets for at the last minute, anyway. so i rested and got better.

saturday i was feeling a little better, but wanted to stay in and watch movies. so i declared it heist night – partly to add to my research for my future heist game. heather came over very late, and we spilled out guts in cursive, and then finished watching gone in sixty seconds. the fourth in the list of nicholas cage movies that feature near constant shots of where i used to live and hang out.

and she came over this morning, we made delicious breakfast, and went down to the new erie canal, where there were roughly five million other people. we went to my favorite spots, she saw the renovations for the first time, and we hung out on the new dock. i saw this cute girl walking her dogs, was just shouting something to start conversation, when i realized it was dana. so thankfully, i got to pet her dogs. heather and i were gonna go home and build a boat, but instead we wound up test driving my dads new car. in the middle of the week he started considering getting a new car, instead of fixing his, and i believe the next day he’d bought one. an audi, which is just nice. it’s got some serious growl, and is even classier than his last ceo-mobile. it’s seriously a james bond car. and when we were done with that, we took his other car, his z3, out for a ride, too. what the heck, why not? it was nice out. we ended up near seneca, believe it or not, and it was just grand.

it was a really wonderful day. superb. superb.
