this is a surprisingly difficult time of year. family activities are stressful – my dad is all about cleaning, we have to cook, & get & wrap presents. people are coming home & wanna do stuff; people who live here wanna do stuff. its a whole bunch of wonderful fun things that are hard to schedule. im looking forward to all of them, and have to remember to say "i just can’t" sometimes. goodness!
i hope to get a great picture of our tree one of these days. it looks so flipping cozy. my house is so rarely cozy, but when the living room is lit up by tiny little lights around a tree, it feels damn cozy.
also, cannery row. cannery row is one of my favorite movies.
