skinny ties & big, blue eyes

I expected to do a photo shoot with CA today, but it started pouring. So I made plans with Sasha, who was to help me, to see a movie instead. The clouds parted, and we had about 45 minutes to make it count, so instead of seeing our flick, we rushed over to CA’s. We got the last few drops of sunlight, and I did my best. I haven’t sorted through them yet, but I think one or two came out good.

After, Sasha & I did end up going to see that movie. 500 Days of Summer. I love the two main actors, was excited about potentially recognizing some old stomping grounds that it was shot in, and am almost always down for a good love story. And a fantastic love story it was. The acting was perfect. The style was perfect. The cinematography… perfect. The story was so honest and quirky… I fell in love in the theater, and now, not believing the narrator’s opening lines about how the boy doesn’t get the girl, I feel more than a little heartbroken. I was there. I was the main character, and I felt it all. I’ve always been more than a little influenced by movies, and how intense and direct this one was made it all the more difficult. This is not a criticism – the opposite, in fact – but god, how it made me lonely.
