there was a single tiny hitch today, a lone bad thing in a sea of goodness. i needed a textbook by tomorrow (my only textbook, really), so i spent 20 dollars to have a 10 dollar book overnighted to my house. only, the billing and shipping addresses got reversed, so it arrived today at my home in camillus. drat.
now that that’s out the way, let me tell you some of the goodness. woke up, went to school, and almost immediately began my paper. it was a pretty decent paper, too. it got done around 2. i left the library (i really love libraries), and thought, “hmmm, ive got till 345, and i dont really feel like doing more work that doesnt have a deadline. what shall i do?” i decided i’d go to the park. the park is right across the street, and ive only been like, 3 times in the two years ive been here. so i walked over to the park. i found a good climbing tree, and ran up into it. i hung out for a bit, and then called CA back, kuz she’d called me earlier. i jumped out of the tree, bruising and cutting myself just enough to give me some sweet tree jumping wounds, and got on the line with her. in the never-ending sweetness that she is, she wanted to be my valentine. i of course agreed. later, teri drew me a little heart on my hand to let people know i was taken.
it was almost class, and i was headed towards the grocery store to get some snacks. teri always brings us snacks, and i promised i would this week. since im on this raw food kick, and i’d just read an article yesterday about the antioxidants in black and blue berries, i thought that’d be a good choice. i was in a splendid mood, and as i was waiting to cross the street, this woman with a big heart balloon runs up to cross walk and loses her balloon in the wind! she didnt even realize, so i yelled out to her to tell her. she looked very confused, so i ran across and told her. she was sad, because it was for her 10 year old son, who isnt yet embarrassed when she does things like this for him. so i told her we’d go back into ralphs (thats the grocery store) and we’d get her another balloon. we went up to the manager and i explained what happened, and she gave the gal another balloon. so sweet.
so i got mah berries, and handed them out to everyone i ran into, and in class. we all did silly little presentations on the papers, and then it was work time. there was actually something to do for once, but only at first, so i went to the library and got some movies. i got the new planet of the apes, which i didnt realize was directed by tim burton, and hitchhikers guide the galaxy. i didnt get to watch either, because i got into a nice conversation with a dude i’d never really met named justin. we just chatted, just to chat. quite nice. and then tiffany came to visit me, and drew me an unbelievably detailed floorplan of her apartment, just so i’d know. we joked for nearly an hour before it was time to come home, and i almost accidentally stole her 100 dollars, because i was teasing her and forgot it was in my pocket. much fun. we got invited to a birthday party tomorrow night, but it’s in hollywood and im not sure how i’ll get there. if i can figure something out, i’d like to go. we’ll see. i work till ten thirty tomorrow night.
