micah spent all day yesterday working on his portfolio. he finally got to a decent spot, where the thing is pretty much built, and he’s 90% sure on how it should look, so he started thinking about what should go in it. that’s the hardest part.
i haven’t made that much in the latter part of my school career, but i’ve learned so much. i’m gonna need to do a handful of quick projects just to show where my skills are. my motion can do 3d now, and i understand the structure and composition of a motion piece much better. i’m far better at print and typography, although that doesn’t concern me too much, cuz i’ve got one or two good print pieces. the websites ive been hired to do lately don’t really show off all that i can do, so i’m gonna have to make some quick fake websites to explain what i’m capable of.
crap, that reminds me : meeting today! today was supposed to be for errands, like getting sneakers and a hiking backpack. maybe some pants, since i have one pair now. i got a book in the mail yesterday called “the 4 hour work week,” which looks absolutely amazing.
and last night was teri’s bonfire at the beach. caroline and i dint get there till late, kuz we waited for nicole, who ended up not even coming. we got there, and it was absolutely insane. it took half an hour to go from the entrance to a parking spot, because they were all taken. apparently, teri just happened to schedule our random bonfire night on norouz, the persian new year, so there were 600000 persian people dancing around campfires, playing really loud techno-arabic music. it looked like armageddon, really, but it was lots of fun. everyone was there to have a good time, and everyone did.
